TOMORROW afternoon Bargoed and Bedwas will fight for the right to host Cross Keys in the Swalec Cup, writes Chris Kirwan.

The pair will be hoping for better luck with the weather after last weekend's round one clash at Bargoed Park was postponed.

It promises to be a tricky tie for Premiership outfit Bedwas but they are a side in good form.

Steve Law's side have won four of their last five with all those successes coming on the road at Swansea, Aberavon, Newport and Bridgend.

They will be confident of making it through to round two but will not be complacent against a Bargoed side that finished as runners-up in last season's Championship.

Tomorrow's hosts made a strong start to the current campaign but sit fourth in the table after losing to Tondu and RGC 1404 in December. They got back to winning ways with an impressive bonus-point 27-3 win at Newbridge last time out.

Llanharan face Tondu this weekend with the winners hosting Llandovery while Newport and Bonymaen clash at Rodney Parade on Tuesday, a tough tie at Pontypridd awaiting the victors on February 15.
