A HAT-TRICK from star player Jess Fishlock helped Wales beat Montenegro 4-0 in Bangor tonight to keep alive their hopes of catching group six leaders England in the 2015 Women's World Cup qualifiers.
Watford's Sarah Wiltshire put the hosts ahead after a mistake by Montenegro goalkeeper Marija Zizic.
Captain Fishlock then converted Natasha Harding's low cross before curling home a free-kick.
And the Seattle Reign ace added a third after the break as Wales tightened their grip on second place.
But England kept an iron grip on the group as they beat Ukraine 4-0 in Shrewsbury to make it six wins from six qualifiers.
After a frustrating first 40 minutes, Natasha Dowie's precise header gave the hosts a narrow half-time lead.
England stretched clear after the break with the lively Eniola Aluko finishing from close range before Dowie steered in a third four minutes later.
A fine finish from Aluko rounded off a comfortable evening's work.
