NEWPORT Gwent Dragons will face Bucharest in the European Rugby Challenge Cup after the Romanians edged past Calvisano in a qualifier.
The Wolves headed into the second leg with a slender 18-13 lead and they sneaked into Pool Three 28-26 on aggregate after being beaten 13-10 in Italy.
The Dragons open up against Stade Francais in Paris on Saturday, October 18 before hosting Newcastle on Friday, October 24.
They travel to to Bucharest on December 4, 5, 6 or 7 with a return encounter at Rodney Parade the following weekend.
The Dragons played the Wolves in 2006/7, winning 66-10 in Newport before a 39-29 success at Steaua Stadium.
The Romanians showed that they are no mugs in last year's Amlin Challenge Cup when they beat Calvisano twice and earned losing bonus points against the Falcons and Brive.
