HEAD coach Kingsley Jones hopes that Newport Gwent Dragons give a bumper Rodney Parade crowd an afternoon to remember against Cardiff Blues.

The Dragons start 2015 with a home humdinger against their fiercest rivals (kick-off 2.05pm), attempting to repeat their 23-17 Boxing Day success in the capital.

The region have struggled on their own turf this season with the Ospreys, Glasgow, Munster and Newcastle leaving Newport with the spoils and Jones is desperate to turn that around in front of their biggest crowd of the season.

“Our form at Rodney Parade hasn’t been great and we really want to have a great home victory,” said the former Wales flanker.

“We’ve won four on the bounce and I am sure that the Dragons faithful will have been lifted by the performances of December and a good win against the Blues on Boxing Day but we need to deliver for them.”

All seats are sold in the Hazell and Bisley Stands while there are a handful of tickets left on the Hazell Terrace.

Tickets are available for the North Terrace and South Stand (both uncovered) at £10 for adults, £5 concessions and £1 juniors with prices increasing by £3 tomorrow Commercial director Pete Grzonka said: “The atmosphere at Rodney Parade is legendary and we are expecting it to be further amplified as we take on our biggest rivals Cardiff Blues.

“All of our hospitality boxes have been sold as well as our Premier Lounge and Dragons Club being full to bursting. Demand for this match has been exceptional after our fantastic win against the Blues on Boxing Day.

“The ticket office is open from 10am tomorrow with limited tickets available. You are encouraged to get down early, to ensure you witness this must see event between two Welsh rivals.”
