BT Sport will be sponsoring a supporters village at the European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-final between Newport Gwent Dragons and Cardiff Blues.

The broadcasters, who sponsor all four Welsh regions, will be televising the clash at Rodney Parade on Saturday, April 4 (kick-off 12.45pm).

And they are also supporting the pre and post-match entertainment in a supporters zone on the ‘cabbage patch’ between the clubhouse and stadium.

Gates will open at 11am on Easter Saturday and there will be a marquee that will house the BT Sport studio for live interviews and analysis, bars and a live band. There will also be inflatables, a fun fair, face painting and rugby skills drills.

Sarra Elgan will be presenting BT Sport’s coverage and will be joined by panellists Shane Williams, Ryan Jones and Ben Kay.

Stuart Davies, chief executive of the Dragons said: “We’re delighted that BT Sport is showing such spirit and commitment to Welsh regional rugby and its supporters by getting really involved in what will be one of the most exciting Welsh derbies for a decade.

“For the Rodney Parade faithful, it’s going to be a huge day and we want to give our loyal supporters a great day out with family and friends – BT Sport’s supporters village will help create a real buzz in the ground and we hope make it a day to remember.”

The European quarter-final is followed by the Principality Premiership derby between Newport and Cross Keys (kick-off 3.30pm).
