POLICE in South-west Scotland are looking for raiders who got away
with a safe containing an estimated #40,000 from a post office. The
four-man gang raided Locharbriggs Post Office on the outskirts of
Dumfries and stole the safe and its contents of cash, cheques, and
stamps. They forced their way in through a rear window and carried the
safe out through the front door.
