* THE running and riding of Mary Reveley's White Willow attracted the
attention of the stewards at York yesterday. They ''recorded'' the
explanation for the gelding's poor sixth in the Batleys Handicap.
Jockey Kevin Darley said that White Willow liked to dominate but when
asked to improve in the straight there was little response. Darley added
that the gelding felt uneasy on the ground.
