PARIS: Brigitte Bardot, the film actress turned animal rights
campaigner, has urged the French Government to ban the keeping of
dolphins for public entertainment after two pregnant dolphins died at a
French theme park. ''The capture of dolphins, the distress and suffering
it entails, must be formally banned,'' she urged in a letter to
Environment Minister Michel Barnier.
