FOUR men, including two brothers, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court
yesterday charged with the murder of 24-year-old George McColl, also
known as George Nellie. Brian McCullough, 17, of Penniecroft Avenue;
Derek McCullough, 19, of Aitkenbar Drive; Christopher Neeson, 19, of
Aitkenbar Drive, all Bellsmyre, Dumbarton; and Joseph Tibbs, 30, of
Gooseholm Crescent, Overburn, Dumbarton, were remanded in custody. They
are charged with assaulting Mr McColl, of Boghead Avenue, Silverton,
Dumbarton, stabbing him repeatedly, striking him with chains, kicking
him, and murdering him in Barrwoodhill last Thursday.
