OLYMPIC cycling champion Chris Hoy wants to help Scots battle the bulge when he retires from sport.
The triple gold medalist hopes his success will encourage youngsters to take up sport and said he'd like to head up a nationwide fitness drive.
He said: "At the moment, I am still a cyclist first and foremost.
"However, once I retire, I'd have more free time to do other things and could help front an exercise drive for Scotland."
Speaking at the the Glasgow Science Centre launch of the Scottish Power Renewables campaign to sponsor Scottish cycling, Hoy also admitted he was enjoying his fame.
He said: "These last few months have been a blur - in the best possible way.
"I get people stopping me in the streets congratulating me and asking for photographs - it's very flattering."
