SKIPTON'S new Gala Rosebud Queen is Abigail Ledger, aged 10, from Skipton.
Joining her as attendants during the year will be Mia Holden, Karley Webb and Poppy Reardon, also from Skipton.
Sarah Haynes, speaking on behalf of the judges, said “The decision was a particularly difficult one this year, as all the girls were so lovely, friendly and confident.
"Each one had something that made them stand out, something special, which made the decisions so much harder for the judges. But we know that Abigail will make a wonderful Rosebud Queen and that Mia, Karley and Poppy will be the perfect team to support her.”
Abigail will be crowned on Gala Day – Saturday, June 13 – by the retiring 2014 Queen Olivia Bacon.
She will also make an appearance at Colne Gala in June and will lay the traditional memorial wreath on Remembrance Sunday in Skipton in November on behalf of Skipton Charities Gala.
There will also be several other fundraising appearances when Abigail will be accompanied by the new gala mascot, Skippy, the Skipton Kangaroo.
