NEWPORT Gwent Dragons are without Wales wing Hallam Amos for their Guinness Pro12 clash with Connacht tomorrow evening with Nick Scott deputising on the flank.

The 21-year-old has started the last four games after returning rapidly from the dislocated shoulder that he suffered in the win against England at the World Cup.

He was released from Six Nations duty for last Friday’s narrow loss at Ulster but Wales, who face a short turnaround from Ireland to Scotland and returned to training today, have not repeated the trick for Connacht game at Rodney Parade (kick-off 7.30pm).

That leads to a recall for Scott, who is yet to score a try following his summer move from London Welsh, while director of rugby Lyn Jones makes three other changes to the XV that played so well in Belfast only to be beaten by Paddy Jackson’s 78th-minute penalty.

The half-backs change with Sarel Pretorius paired with Jason Tovey while there is just one enforced change up front with Nick Crosswell returning from a foot injury to slot in at number eight for Ed Jackson, who strained his hamstring at Ravenhill.

The Dragons are still monitoring a few bumps and bruises with centre/wing Ross Wardle on stand-by to come into the 23.

Connacht make three changes to the XV that beat the Scarlets a fortnight ago with AJ MacGinty replacing the injured Jack Carty at fly-half, Bundee Aki shifting to outside centre to partner Craig Ronaldson in midfield and powerful prop Rodney Ah You coming in at tighthead.

Prop Finlay Bealham, lock Ultan Dillane and scrum-half Kieran Marmion have all been released from the Ireland squad and are among the replacements.
