ST JOSEPH’S boxers Robbie Turley, Morgan Jones, Kyle Jones and Ashley Brace will look to back up their wins in Merthyr Tydfil last month when they take to the ring in Tylorstown this autumn.

The quartet have been included by promoters Sanigar Events on an 11-fight bill at Rhondda Fach Sports Centre on Saturday, October 8.

It is the first time Sanigar Events has staged a professional boxing show at the Rhondda venue.

Turley got back to winning ways in July when he sealed a clear points victory over Brett Fidoe in a six-round contest.

Cefn Fforest’s Turley, a former Welsh and Celtic super-bantamweight champion, last fought for a title two years ago.

A win in the Rhondda will help boost his chances of getting back in the mix for another crack at a domestic title.

Rising star Morgan Jones returns to the ring for his fifth contest of 2016 after an impressive shutout defeat of the durable Elvis Dube in Merthyr.

Morgan is fast becoming one to watch in the light-heavyweight division having won all eight of his fights in the paid ranks.

Meanwhile, Brace, the UK’s number one female bantamweight, has recorded two impressive stoppage victories in her last two outings.

She has won all four of her professional bouts and is rated number six in Europe.

Undefeated super-lightweight Kyle Jones is now six wins without a loss following a scrappy win on points against Ibrar Riyaz last time out.

Merthyr hero Dai Davies will once again headline the show on the back of a career-best performance against previously unbeaten Hungarian Norbert Kalucza.

Davies hopes that a third win on the spin will put him firmly in a top-five position in the UK rankings and get him a long-awaited shot at the British title.

Tony Dixon suffered a shock knockout loss in May but is motivated to get back on the winning trail in the Rhondda, while Dorian Darch, unbeaten since 2014, has his eyes on the Welsh heavyweight title and is aiming for a step up in competition this October.

Light-heavyweight Anthony Trow will look for his first win of the year in front of a passionate home crowd and Jermaine Asare, back on track after beating Bryn Wain last time out, will no doubt want to reignite title dreams with another victory.

Super-lightweight Richie Canning and Swansea’s Mano Lee complete the line-up.

Tickets priced at £35 for unreserved seating, £50 and £60 for VIP table seating, including a hot meal, are available from all boxers or the box office on 0117 9496699. Under-16s tickets are £10 when accompanied by an adult.
