FULL-BACK Carl Meyer and centre Jack Dixon will return for Newport Gwent Dragons when they entertain Leinster in the Guinness PRO12 tomorrow night (kick-off 7.30pm).

However, winger Ashton Hewitt, who head coach Kingsley Jones said “should be in the mix” to face the Irish province earlier in the week, remains on the sidelines after a concussion.

South African Meyer replaces Tom Prydie in a back three that also features speedsters Adam Hughes and Pat Howard.

Like Meyer, Dixon missed the 14-9 defeat to Connacht last Saturday, but he is back too, getting the nod over Adam Warren to form a centre partnership with Tyler Morgan.

The return of Meyer and Dixon are the only changes to the Dragons side from the XV that started the loss in Galway.

That means Tavis Knoyle keeps his place at scrum-half despite receiving a knock to his ankle against Connacht, while Dorian Jones is preferred over Angus O’Brien.

Head coach Kingsley Jones has named an unchanged pack for the visit of Leo Cullen’s Leinster, who are second in the league standings.

Sam Hobbs, Elliot Dee and Brok Harris make up the front row, packing behind them are Nick Crosswell and Rynard Landman, while captain Lewis Evans is flanked by Ollie Griffiths and Nic Cudd in the back row.

Three changes on the replacements bench see Rhys Buckley, Matthew Screech and Warren join Thomas Davies, Lloyd Fairbrother, Harrison Keddie, Sarel Pretorius and O’Brien.

Dragons: C Meyer; A Hughes, T Morgan, J Dixon, P Howard; D Jones, T Knoyle; S Hobbs, E Dee, B Harris, N Crosswell, R Landman, O Griffiths, N Cudd, L Evans (capt).

Reps: R Buckley, T Davies, L Fairbrother, M Screech, H Keddie, S Pretorius, A O’Brien, A Warren.
