CROSS Keys made it two wins out of three in the Principality Premiership and two from two at Pandy Park as they edged Neath in an entertaining match, writes Haydn Jefferies.

Keys were straight on the front foot taking lead after two minutes, following good quick line out ball Jason Tovey split the Neath defence with an arcing run before feeding Srdan Majkic for his first Keys league try, Tovey converted.

With both sides playing attractive rugby, it was the strong defences that were prominent, before Tovey extended the Keys lead with a 35-metre penalty on 15 minutes.

Callum Hall reduced the deficit five minutes later with a penalty after strong driving play by the Neath forwards.

There was another Tovey penalty for Keys before Neath scored an unconverted try wideout on 30 minutes when Dan Guarneri went over after good ball retention as the strong Neath pack drove at the Keys line.

With both sides moving the ball well, Neath took the lead when Aaron Bramwell cut through some weak keys tackles to score for Hall to convert just before the half time whistle.

Keys were back into the lead with another Tovey pen straight on the restart followed quickly with a try by Owain Leonard, after moving the ball quickly from the restart with backs and forwards handling in a 70-meter try. It was converted by Tovey.

A further Tovey penalty before he again put the Neath defence on the back foot and Wes Cunliffe running 40 meters to score a converted try. Neath hit back with wing Ian Ellis finished off a good move on 55 minutes.

In flowing game with referee Gareth John controlling well, a Keys penalty was countered with a penalty try for Neath following a series of scrums and another goal kick.

Keys closed out the game for an impressive win in what was another good advert for the Premiership.
