Bedwas thrive under the rule of Law

BEDWAS have made a terrific start to the Premiership campaign thanks to their ability to keep going until the final whistle, writes Chris Kirwan.
The Bridge Field outfit sit fourth in the table with three wins from four games.
The latest came at Newport on Wednesday when, just like against Carmarthen Quins on opening day, they scored a seven-pointer in injury time.
That was the perfect way to prepare for their toughest test so far – a home date with leaders Llanelli.
But whatever happens, the first month has gone superbly given that Bedwas had won just once in 2012 before the start of the campaign. “As a coaching group we are over the moon with the start that the boys have made,” said head coach Steve Law.
“It certainly wasn’t a perfect performance at Newport but winning is always sweeter than losing and the squad deserve all the credit for going until the last minute.
“To get a win at Rodney Parade was terrific and sets us up nicely for Llanelli. It will be tough but I don’t think there are any easy games in the Premiership any more, that’s why you need a strong squad.
“And it definitely becomes an easier game when you have the confidence from two good wins on the bounce.”
Law is likely to rotate his squad for their third game in eight days.
