CROSS Keys travel to Pontypridd this evening with a strong side, confident of toppling last season’s league champions, writes Iwan Davies.
There will be two Newport Gwent Dragons among their ranks in former Pandy Park favourites Steffan Jones and Jevon Groves.
Outside half Jones featured for Keys last week in their 22-15 victory over Llandovery which knocked the Drovers off the top of the league.
That hard earned win moved the Gwent valleys outfit up to fourth in the table, just one place below Ponty who are going well having lost just one game all season.
Keys head coach Greg Woods is eagerly anticipating tonight’s encounter. "We’re ple-sed with the strong side we’ve got out and we’re going to have a good crack at Ponty," he said.
"We’re looking forward to having some fun in the mud at Sardis Road."
Keys are without blinside Rhys Peebles (hamstring) and wing Nathan Trowbridge (knee).
Cross Keys: D Gunter, E Jones, L Andrews, A James, K Baller, S Jones, R James, R Cornock, G Price, A Lott, D Hodge, O Hodge, J Groves, R Nash (capt), A Powell. Replacements: G Horrigan, J Sollis, C Gould, S Matthews, R Dyer, D Jones, G David.
