TICKET details have been confirmed for the Rodney Parade derby double-header on Easter Saturday.

Newport Gwent Dragons will host Cardiff Blues in the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Challenge Cup at 12.45pm, televised live on BT Sport, and the Principality Premiership encounter between Newport and Cross Keys is slotted in for a 3.30pm kick-off, although the first last-eight tie could go to extra time.

Tickets bought for the regional derby will also gain free access for the Black and Ambers' clash with Keys.

Newport RFC season ticket holders and life members can see the Premiership game as normal while tickets can be bought for that second fixture at the normal rate of £10 (all of the Black and Ambers' league games are free for under-20s).

Seats are not allocated for the Premiership derby but stewards will do all they can to ensure Newport season ticket holders get their normal spot.

Rodney Parade chief executive Stuart Davies said: "The double-header is a fantastic occasion for rugby supporters throughout our region and an opportunity to showcase Rodney Parade as a great rugby venue.

"We are working hard to make this Easter Saturday full of entertainment and it's sure to be exciting day for all four teams."

Chairman of Newport RFC Will Godfrey said: "This is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on the Principality Premiership.

"Historically derbies between Newport and Cross Keys are always special affairs and having the opportunity to share the day with the quarter-final will make it special for the supporters of all teams."

Cross Keys head coach Greg Woods said: "I think that this is a great opportunity for our players to show off their skills in front of a large crowd.

"This is one of the biggest matches in our calendar and this will make it an even bigger occasion at Rodney Parade."

It will be a busy weekend for the Rodney Parade ground staff because Newport County host Hartlepool in League Two on Good Friday (kick-off 3pm). The two Premiership sides will warm up on the 'cabbage patch' near the club house to allow work to be done on the pitch between the games.
