NEWPORT will play their postponed home Foster's Challenge Cup clash with Bedwas on the 3G pitch at the Dragons' training base in Ystrad Mynach.

The Black and Ambers have been hit hard by recent woeful weather and have four encounters in the development competition to fit into their hectic schedule before the semi-finals on the weekend of April 19.

Newport entertain Ebbw Vale at Rodney Parade tomorrow evening (kick-off 7.15pm) and travel to Cross Keys next Tuesday (kick-off 7.15pm).

The fixture with Bedwas is on Wednesday, February 9 at Caerphilly County Borough Centre for Sporting Excellence (kick-off 7.30pm) and they entertain Keys at Rodney Parade on Tuesday, March 1 (kick-off 7.15pm).

Bedwas may lose top spot to the Steelmen tomorrow but are in prime position to qualify as winners of the Gwent group of the Challenge Cup and join other pool winners Pontypridd and Carmarthen Quins in the last four.

Cardiff are currently the team that will go through as best runners-up with a tally of 18 points.

Gwent standings: Bedwas P4 16pts, Ebbw P5 12pts, Keys P3 6pts, Newport P2 0pts.
