ADAM Brown has switched his focus from the oval ball to the round one after quitting first class rugby.
However, Brown, who until last season captained Newport RFC, doesn’t have far to go for his new role.
The second row has taken up a full-time position as a physiotherapist with Newport County AFC.
He will still be involved in rugby though, turning out for Newport HSOB when his job allows.
Also leaving the Black and Ambers are James Greenfield, Rueben Tucker, Llwyarch ap Myrddin and Fraser Young, who have all joined Cardiff.
Owen Williams, Craig Atwell, Brendan Lampitt and Rhodri Jones head to Pontypool, while Tom Riley joins Merthyr.
Newport have retained props Jon Lavender, Matt Prosser, Nicky Boyce, Tom Piper, Garin Harris and Christian Coleman.
