SUDBROOK CC kept their good run going with a narrow victory over Blackwood Town CC.

Having won the toss, the home side chose to bat and posted 265-8 in their 50 overs with Lewis Morgan (82) and Michael Martin (71) the main contributors. Other double-figure scores were scored by Michael Shaw (33 not out), Mitchell Slape (17) and Mark O'Leary (14).

In reply, Blackwood battled all the way, opener Neil Reardon (34), Matthew Evans top-scoring with 74 closely followed by Daniel Wilkinson (63). But they lost their final wicket with three deliveries remaining, 12 runs short on 253. After starring with the bat, Lewis Morgan weighed in with the ball, taking 4-59 - including the vital 10th wicket) off his 8.3 overs and Slape took 1-23 with one maiden in his six-overs.
