NEWPORT County AFC have completed their second loan signing of the day with the arrival of defender Janoi Donacien from Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old, who was born in St Lucia, who can play at centre-back or right-back.

He completed a one-month spell at County’s League Two rivals Wycombe Wanderers earlier this week having played two games.

He also made more than 30 appearances for Tranmere Rovers in League Two last season, alongside new Exiles teammate Danny Holmes.

Donacien moved to the UK at a young age and began playing his youth football at Luton.

He joined Villa in 2009, featuring regularly for the under-18 team before going on to represent the club at reserves and under-21 level.

Donacien helped Villa win the Barclays Premier Reserve League South title in 2011-12, while 12 months later he was an integral part of the team that triumphed in the NextGen Series European competition, alongside the likes of Callum Robinson, Jack Grealish and Samir Carruthers.

He has twice made the bench for the Villa first-team and was allocated the number 32o shirt this season.
