THE FA Cup first round tie between Alfreton Town and Newport County AFC has been put back to Sunday, November 6 (kick-off 2pm).

Both clubs will earn £12,500 after the match was selected to feature in the BBC's Sunday highlights show.

County's first round match last year - a 2-2 draw at Brackley Town - was also switched to a Sunday.

The Exiles, then managed by John Sheridan, won the replay at Rodney Parade and progressed to the third round for the first time in 30 years.

They were eventually knocked out by Championship club Blackburn Rovers in January.
