NEWPORT County AFC have confirmed that Jack Jebb and Josh O’Hanlon will not be having their contracts renewed and Jordan Green has returned to AFC Bournemouth.

Midfielder Jebb (below) and striker O’Hanlon were signed on short-term deals in November, while winger Green’s loan has expired.

South Wales Argus:

Manager Graham Westley said: “I brought in Jack and Josh on short-term deals because both were out of contract, both were available in the closed transfer window and I felt that both might possibly help us in the short term and potentially in the longer term.

“Although we have won more points-per-game during my time here than previously, we haven't made the strides that are needed and I have made the decision not to extend their short-term deals.

“Both lads have great potential. But right now I need lads with experience in winning League Two points. So I cannot tie up our money on players with potential at the expense of that.

“Our thinking has to be 'right here, right now'. When we get the immediate job done, we can build the bigger picture.

“I wish both lads well. They are boys I would happily give good references to and lads I believe we will see more of in the future.”

The Exiles have also confirmed that Green (above) has followed fellow loan players Reece Grego-Cox, Rhys Healey and Kyle Cameron in returning to his parent club.
