NEWPORT County AFC have parted company with boss Graham Westley.
First-team player/coach Michael Flynn will step in as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
A statement released by the club this morning said: "Newport County AFC board of directors met yesterday evening.
"As a result, the club can confirm that manager Graham Westley has been relieved of his first-team duties with immediate effect.
"In addition, assistant manager Dino Maamria will also be leaving the club.
"The board of directors would like to place on record its thanks to Graham and Dino for their hard work in challenging circumstances.
"Graham has worked extremely hard in improving standards throughout the club.
"First-team coach Michael Flynn will become caretaker manager until the end of the season.
"He is currently forming his team and we will make a further announcement later today."
Westley leaves the Exiles with the club 11 points from safety at the bottom of League Two.
It was reported on Monday that the County board had given Westley two matches to save his job.
On Tuesday, the board denied that this was the case.
The weekly media conference, scheduled for 10.30am this morning, was cancelled.
