NEWPORT County AFC will again face a Swansea City academy side in the Checkatrade Trophy.

The Swans youngsters join County, Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town in Group E of the competition's southern section.

The Exiles were beaten 2-1 at home by Swansea's under-21s at the same stage last season with Alex Samuel, who later went on to enjoy a successful loan spell at Rodney Parade, scoring for the visitors.

Michael Flynn's men will travel to Forest Green in the week beginning August 28 before hosting the Swans in the week of October 2 and Cheltenham on November 7.
