FRANK Nouble has left Newport County AFC and signed a two-year deal with League Two rivals Colchester United.
The former West Ham forward arrived at Rodney Parade on a one-year contract last summer and was in talks with the Exiles at the end of the campaign.
However, the 26-year-old has opted to move closer to home with the Uās, getting the added comfort of a deal through to 2020.
"I had a good year last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, and now I am very excited about what Colchester want to do this season and looking forward to this new challenge,ā said Nouble, who scored 10 goals in 45 games.
"I want to find a home and I will be closer to my family now by moving here. Signing two years gives me a chance to settle down and I want to perform on the pitch.
"I'm ready to give everything - I want the club to get promoted and play-offs is a minimum for a club like Colchester and for the players in this squad."
