RUGBY legend Bobby Windsor has slammed Wales ahead of their showdown with the All Blacks tomorrow and mocked their much hyped preparations using cryotherapy in Poland.

The Pontypool Front Row member poked fun at the team’s use of ice chambers as a recovery technique by quipping the side are playing as if they are frozen.

Windsor’s words come with the Grand Slam winners facing the world champions tomorrow on the back of two humiliating defeats at home to Argentina and Samoa.

The hooker, nicknamed the ‘Iron Duke’, a winner of two Grand Slams in the Seventies, came close to beating the 1978 All Blacks, Wales controversially losing 13-12.

Windsor is fearing the worst following Wales’ form so far this autumn.

"After the last two games I’m dreading it," he said. "I would say stay away from Poland and the fridges because they’ve been playing like they’re frozen recently." Attacking Wales’ faltering set piece, he said: "I don’t know who teaches them to scrummage but goodness me.

"Scrummaging is about how big your heart is, putting your head in there and smashing them backwards.

"People praise Gethin Jenkins for his running and ability round the pitch but they need to do their job first.

Windsor added: "It’s the same when we’ve got the ball, people have got to come onto it at pace. There’s too many people hanging around by rucks and when they get it, just flop backwards.

"You’ve got to get ten yards back and run onto it like you mean it. You have to have heart and be brave against the All Blacks or they’ll smash you. I want us to beat them but five defeats on the trot now, it doesn’t look good."
