MORE sources from which farmers in Scotland can obtain the maps

necessary for completion of their area aid application forms under the

Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) have been made

available as a result of an arrangement between the Scottish Office and

the Ordnance Survey.

In addition to their five agents in Scotland, the Ordnance Survey are

allowing their own field officers to advise upon, and sell, the maps

required under the IACS.

The Ordnance Survey has also extended copyright licence to a number of

land agents, and to those offices of the Scottish Agricultural College

which hold the relevant maps. These will also now be able to provide a

maps supply service to farmers.

The deadline for the receipt by the Department of area aid application

forms is May 15.
