NORMAN Cook, a.k.a Fatboy Slim, has had an illustrious career in dance music.

One of the founders of the bigbeat sound, he is also known for bringing it into the mainstream, in the mid 1990s.

He brought his Fatboy Slim In The Round tour to Cardiff.

South Wales Argus:

After the Six Nation’s win over England, in the Principality Stadium, Cardiff was already buzzing and crowded, with a party atmosphere.

Cousn, the first support act, played a smooth and welcoming set of disco, house and acid beats. This was seamlessly followed by Horse Meat Disco, warming up the now filling up arena, with classic 80s and anthem dance.

South Wales Argus:

Fatboy Slim waltzed onto the revolving stage, in the centre of the arena, with a sense of fun and smile on his face.

As he broke into his intro, straight to Eat Sleep Renegade Apache cheering and waving encouraging the crowd, as they were jumping, dancing and waving their arms.

He moved into Losing It America, El Jefe, Cartenega and Creeps.

The UFO-shaped revolving stage had impressive beaming lights, with the smoke machine turned up to max.

South Wales Argus:

Fatboy Slim moved around encouraging the crowd, as the stage constantly turned, adding neat mixes and break beats to the songs.

He continued a monster set, with Star 69 and Vertigo Dirty Acid, among many others, closing with Praise You and Satisfaction Skank.

South Wales Argus:

Fatboy Slim brought his hits, tunes and DJ skills, encompassed in a massive night club experience, to Motorpoint Arena Cardiff.

His performance had the whole audience partying and dancing, with a sense of fun and celebration.
