SCOTTISH alternative rockers, Twin Atlantic, were the opening support band for Catfish and the Bottlemen at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena.
They are worth an honourable mention as they put on a great set, warming up the crowd well including fans of their music (probably gaining some new fans).
Following an intermission, the sold-out arena was at full capacity at Catfish and the Bottlemen walked onto the stage. They were accompanied by rapturous applause of a fellow Welsh crowd in the capital city.
They opened with their more recent single, Longshot. Then seamlessly went into Kathleen from their first album The Balcony (2014).
Catfish and the Bottlemen continued the momentum, with Soundcheck from their second album The Ride (2016).
This early showcase of their work in the set clearly pleased the Bank Holiday Sunday audience, which was packed with people singing their hearts out along with Van McCann.
They moved through their set with a fine mix of all their accomplished work, including Pacifier, Twice, Fallout, Conversion, Anything, and Business.
This was a high-octane show, jam-packed with high energy levels and a great sound which the hungry audience loved.
Catfish and the Bottlemen continued with a relentless set of fine songs like 2all, Outside, Hourglass, Fluctuate, Seven, Cocoon and Tyrant.
They delivered a complete monster set of their three albums and certainly living up to the hype they have built over the last five years.
