HOT properties were keenly contested in the sale room, on the phone and online as strong figures were achieved at the latest sale by Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions.
A total of 56 properties were offered at the packed May sale, under the cameras of the BBC’s Homes Under the Hammer, with 37 lots sold for a combined grand total of £3,527, 556.
And if you want to bag a bargain property, the next sale is on Thursday, June 13, at The Cardiff North Hotel by Accor, Llanedeyrn, Cardiff, starting at 5pm.
A well-maintained, two-bedroom, terraced house (Lot 17) at 39 Libaneth Road, Newport, with a guide price of £65,000-plus sold for £85,000, while a similar property, next door at, 41 Libaneth Road (Lot 18), listed with a guide of £60,000-plus went for £75,000.
A rare opportunity to acquire a mid link property requiring full modernisation in increasingly popular Cwmbran was offered at 16 Church Close, Croesyceiliog (Lot 21). The three-bedroom property listed with a guide of £69,000-plus sold after a flurry of bids for £99,000.
A three-bedroom, semi-detached house in need of modernisation at 4a Cemetery Road, Brynmawr (Lot 31) also caught the attention of bidders. Listed at £39,000-plus the property sold for £64,000.
A mixed residential and commercial property at 138 Duckpool Road, Newport (Lot 34) was a star of the sale which, listed with a guide of £108,000-plus, sold after to and fro bidding for £152,000.
A traditional, two-bedroom end-of-terrace house at 20 Tillery Street, Abertillery (Lot 44), listed with a guide price of £35,000-plus, sold for £39,000.
