AN INTERNET star with more than 96 million followers has revealed how much money he makes.

PewDiePie, who lives in Brighton and whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, can earn anywhere from £50,000 to £800,000 a month thanks to his work online.

The YouTuber also has a net worth of £20 million.

The star posted a video on his channel on Saturday in which he looked at his online analytics.

The 12-minute video shows the internet sensation look up the countries he is most popular in – with his native Sweden coming out on top – as well as how many views he gets and how much he makes.

One part of the video shows PewDiePie visit analytics website Social Blade to find out if it knows how much he makes per month.

The website details his monthly earning as between £50,000 and £800,000 a month, depending on how many videos he uploads and how well they perform.

Reacting to this, PewDiePie says: “Yeah, that seems about right.”

But he also discusses the problems that can come with having this information available online.

He said: “Imagine that you have a job and how well you are performing in that job is 100 per cent public and 100 per cent comparable to all of your peers.

“There’s some deep psychological and emotional stress that is always lingering for a lot of YouTubers.”

The internet star also found out that he has had nearly 22 billion views on his channel since it started in the mid 2000s.

In the past PewDiePie was been engaged in an online battle with Indian music channel T-Series over which channel is the most subscribed to on the site.
