THE UNIVERSITY of South Wales has been ranked first in the country for producing entrepreneurial graduates, a new study has found, with one in 10 becoming business leaders after their studies.
Graduates from the university are most likely to start their own company or manage a business, with 9.53 per cent of alumni becoming business leaders, and 3.3 per cent are currently chief executives or managing directors.
More than 400,000 alumni from all eight Welsh universities were surveyed by Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance - which conducted the study with more than 9.5 million previous university students in the UK.

The top five Welsh universities include Bangor, University of Wales Trinity St David, Aberystwyth and Cardiff.
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, assistant pro-vice chancellor for enterprise at the University of South Wales, said: “USW has enterprise and employability at the heart of everything it does across all schools and faculties.
"We are proud to be producing the leaders of the future, many of whom have taken advantage of the opportunities we provide for work experience across all of our courses, which then gives our students a competitive advantage in the graduate marketplace.
“With graduate entrepreneurship forming a key part of our 2030 University strategy, we will continue to develop those entrepreneurial leaders that will drive forward the Welsh and UK economies.”
