A LIBRARY is set to close its doors next month when the services it provides will be relocated to Bargoed.

Aberbargoed Library will be closing its doors on Friday March 9.

The library services have been relocated to the new and exciting Hanbury Chapel Library in nearby Bargoed.

Notices will be on display in the library to inform residents of the closure period from Monday February 13.

Local library users will also have information about services available in the four other local libraries in Pengam, Blackwood, New Tredegar and Bargoed.

“We will also be telling local residents about our ‘LibraryLink’ Housebound Mobile vehicle which can bring the services right to their door if they have mobility issues.

"We are sure once people try out the new libraries they’ll realise how easy it is to use them,” said Cllr Phil Bevan - Cabinet Member for Education Lifelong Learning & Leisure.
