Duck herding and wellie wanging was on the agenda for a specially selected group of corporate planners who attended a fun-packed familiarisation trip showcasing both the new ICC Wales and the Celtic Manor Resort.

Each corporate client enjoyed an afternoon of exciting activities including gin blending, chocolate making, sausage making, falconry and segways.

This was followed by a hard-hat tour of the ICC Wales site in Newport, giving guests an opportunity to experience the venue first-hand before it officially opens.

A delicious lunch was served in the resort’s Coldra Court Hotel and guests enjoyed an evening feast showcasing ICC Wales’ Mind, Body, Soul food offering at the Celtic Manor Golf Club before retiring to luxurious overnight accommodation at the Resort Hotel.

When it opens this year, ICC Wales will accommodate 5,000 delegates and includes a 4,000 sq m pillar-free main hall, a 1,500-seated auditorium, 12 flexible meeting rooms, a double-height glass atrium with views of the surrounding Coldra Woods and a 2,500sqm outdoor plaza.
