The South Wales Argus will be among exhibitors at the Business Showcase South West in Bristol this week.

The event, which is free to attend, will be at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on Wednesday, June 19.

Thousands of delegates will be at the event from across the South West and South Wales to take part in expert-led workshops from the likes of Google, expert-led seminars, networking and keynote sessions.

More than 250 exhibitors will be present – ranging from the Argus and its LocaliQ team, global finance firms like Western Union to regional businesses like Castle Coombe race track.

The event offers free travel via First Buses, parking and a professional profile headshot for all. In addition, there is a huge breakfast networking opportunity before the main event begins in the VIP Lounge onsite (pre-booking required).

All the exhibition stands have sold out, but there are plenty of delegate tickets left to snap up and booking online saves time and allows quicker access to latest news.

The Business Showcase South West has become the largest free business event for the South West region, celebrating the best of in innovation, creativity and enterprise. Previous speakers have included icons like Baroness Brady, Levi Roots, Facebook and former retail titan Gerald Ratner.

This June’s event is sponsored by HSBC, Jelf, Reed, St James’s Place Academy, vodafone and Devere Tortworth Court

Keynote speakers will include Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation and business ambassador to the government; Sir Robert McCabe, serial entrepreneur who opened more than 250 stores before exiting his first business in his early 20s, Mark Wright, the most successful winner of BBC’s The Apprentice, and Mark Berrisford-Smith, the head of economics at HSBC.

The bi-annual showcase was founded in 2013 by Bristol-based entrepreneur and broadcaster Jamie Breese, who has presented on TV for all the major networks from BBC and ITV, to Sky and The Discovery Channel while operating business events in the region for the last 11 years.

Jamie said: “We are all set for a huge year again. The showcase at Ashton Gate represents excellent value for exhibitors and a superb opportunity for delegates to connect with so many great businesses – from global brands to SMEs. I want the showcase to be a business-packed experience that people will feel compelled to stay at all day long.

“Our delegates enjoy a free event, multiple and useful seminars, expert workshops and inspiring keynotes which help solve the problems and challenges in today’s business world. I expect delegates from across the region who will see this as the stay-all-day, must-go-to, business-driven networking mega-fest.”

The showcase runs from 10am to 4pm.
