Newport-based law firm Harding Evans has promoted four specialist solicitors in its acclaimed clinical negligence and personal injury departments.

The move paves the way for further recruitment of lawyers to these key departments which have seen significant growth over recent years, as the firm builds upon its UK-wide reputation in these areas of the law.

In the clinical negligence department, experienced lawyers Justin Chisnall and Danielle Howell step up to become senior associate solicitors and Carys Davies becomes associate solicitor, while Victoria Smithyman has been appointed a senior associate solicitor in the personal injury department.

Harding Evans, which covers a range of corporate and private legal services has enjoyed top ranking in the benchmark Legal 500 list for its clinical negligence and personal injury work for a number of years.

Equity partner Ken Thomas, who leads these teams, is ranked by the Legal 500 as a ‘leading individual’ in these fields, having successfully handled numerous landmark cases.

The firm’s chief executive Joy Phillips said: “We’re proud of our reputation in these important legal disciplines and delighted that, through our structured skills development programme and the dedication of these highly skilled individuals, we’ve been able to advance their careers as we prepare to grow these departments further.”
