Cwmbran law firm Rubin Lewis O’Brien is holding a free ‘Will Review Clinic’ between August 19 and 23 allowing the public to seek free advice on their current Wills, and to check whether they are still appropriate or need changing. Due to its popularity, it is by appointment only.

Head of wills, trusts and probate at Rubin Lewis O’Brien, Damian Lines, said: “Thinking about wills is something that many people either do not think about at all, or do once and then forget about.

"We want to encourage people to check that everything is in order, and our initiative is the way that people can take that first step – for free, and without obligation.

“Circumstances change; families grow, whether by marriage and new stepchildren or by the addition of grandchildren.

"Sometimes there is the loss of a loved one, or a family rift. Financial circumstances could change, or addresses. In all these cases reviewing Wills are a must to gain certainty about what will happen on death."

During the week the public will be able to speak with experts from the firm about their wills – whether made with the firm, elsewhere or even homemade - and Mr Lines encourages anyone who has any questions to book-in to allay any concerns: “This is an opportunity for members of the public to obtain free advice about these very important documents, and their effect.

“Families are more complex than ever; this should not be a barrier to sorting out your affairs, but a spur to making sure all is in order. Meet with us now – for free – for helpful guidance about what needs to be done to make sure your wishes are followed. Don’t leave it to chance, or to the law!”
