Foxhunters Care Community has been named as one of the top-rated care homes in Wales by online care guide, carehome.co.uk.

Based in Abergavenny, the recently-opened luxury home which is part of the Dormy Care Communities group has received an impressive review score of 9.9 out of 10 from residents, families and friends since its official opening in November 2018.

Television news presenter Sir Martyn Lewis officially opened the new care home at its VIP launch in January 2019, declaring the home as “world beating” and saying it “sets the standard” for new care homes in the UK.

Offering the very highest level of dementia, nursing and residential care in the finest luxury environments, Foxhunters features some impressive facilities including a cinema, bar, coffee shop, gym and hairdressing salon. They also run daily activities for residents including music sessions, art classes, trips out to local places of interest, wine tasting, pet therapy and our weekly gardening club.

Helen Davies-Parsons, chief executive officer of Dormy Care Communities, said: “I am delighted and incredibly proud that Foxhunters has been named one of the top-rated care homes in Wales.

“The feedback we have received since opening the home has been fabulous and is testament to the effort and dedication our staff put in on a daily basis.

“The vision for Foxhunters has always been to provide a fantastic home for ladies and gentlemen to live in. We want it to be a place where older people can continue to live their lives to the full, with the right care and support.”
