Richard Blackwell will be leaving Bisley after 30 years, the latter four years in the position of CEO.

Richard joined Bisley in 1989 and since then he has been responsible for many seismic shifts, not only in the way the business operates but also in the markets it chooses to sell in.

Under his visionary leadership Bisley has transformed from manufacturer of steel storage to a provider of interior solutions for the workplace and beyond.

Over the last 30 years, Bisley has expanded the markets it operates in to include new geographic regions as well as sectors, furthermore its manufacturing expertise now extends to wood as well as steel.

Richard leaves the business as a dominant force in the market, fit for the future and as ever, leading the way.

John Atkin, CEO of Bisley said: “Richard has had a long and successful career at Bisley. Under his stewardship, Bisley has been guided through a period of change to position us for a sustainable future. Richard is a popular figure, well known and well respected throughout the furniture industry. We’ll all miss him very much, but wish him all the best for the future in his new ventures."
