Pontypool-based Freight Logistics Solutions was named the second fastest growing firm in Wales at the Fast Growth 50 Awards.

FLS picked up awards for the Fastest Growing Firm in the Valleys and the Fastest Growing Firm in Business to Business Services Award, as well as being placed as the second fastest growing firm in Wales after Cardiff TV Studios, Bad Wolf.

With two other awards won this season, Best Business Team Wales at the Wales SME Awards and Best Company Award at the Monmouthshire Business Awards, FLS has been recognised for its business performance across the board.

Freight Logistics Solutions was set up the day after the UK referendum result in June 2016 and after huge success over the past three years, and moving into its new HQ in January, recent account wins have supported 12 appointments this year and significant revenue growth.

Founder and managing director Ieuan Rosser said: "This is fantastic recognition of all the team's hard work over the past three and half years. I have always been a fan of the FG50 and its incredible achievement for us to come second in Wales.

"We are extremely excited about the future especially Brexit, what-ever shape, it creates a whole additional set of logistical and administration challenges that clients need far more support with.

"FLS is arranging more than 3,000 shipments a month, we are buying bulk from preferred suppliers and passing those savings onto our clients."

Professor Dylan Evans, founder of the awards, said: "With an estimated 41,300 people employed in the transportation, distribution and storage sector in Wales and with the sector growing rapidly but still very under resourced, from its success at the Wales Start-up Awards over the past two years FLS has made the most of an opportunity to support Welsh manufacturers.

"With 1,716 per cent growth over the FG50 qualifying period, FLS has done remarkably well. It is one of those companies you just know has the right DNA and personality to do extremely well, customer focused, ambitious with very level heads – I wish it many congratulations and every success in the future."
