Newport-based Severn Office Solutions has recruited a key individual to help cope with the continued growth of the business.

The office solutions firm has appointed experienced sales professional Kate Hounslow as business development administrator.

Kate, aged 36, from Cwmbran is a single mum of two and she has joined the firm to take up a customer facing role at the office supplies business.

Keen horsewoman Kate, who is a qualified hypnotherapist, has a background in sales administration as well as front-of-house experience.

Kate said: “I am very excited by my new role with Severn Office Solutions. I will be processing existing customer orders and quoting for new items as required. I am looking forward to networking too, meeting new people and making new connections. I want to help develop the business through expanding the existing customers’ product range and making new connections and gaining new business.

“I’m solution led so I enjoy talking to customers, getting to know their needs and then meeting and exceeding them. I love working on big projects and seeing them come to fruition.

“I am very much a people person so I enjoy networking and going out on appointments as I get to be with people face to face and can build up a good relationship and it’s good for the business.

“When I’m not at work I spend a lot of time with my two children. I also love horse riding; I have done it since I was a child. I also volunteer as bereavement volunteer for Cruse in my spare time as I love helping people.

“I’m a huge rugby fan and it’s a big part of my life. I regularly attend Dragons and Cardiff Blues home games as well as Wales when they are at home. I also love a swim and go to the gym a couple of times a week.”

Andrew Collison, of Severn Office Solutions, said: “We’re thrilled to have been able to recruit someone of Kate’s calibre to fill this important role. We are at a very important time as the business grows and we need to satisfy existing and importantly new customer’s office supply requirements.”
