CROSS Keys let slip a 17-point lead to lose to a heart-breaking last-minute interception try in an entertaining affair at Pandy Park, writes Paul Hopkins.

It all began so well for Keys when Srdan Majkic made a break on halfway to set up an attack and he found fellow centre Dylan Fidler, but Swansea were penalised for killing the ball.

Izaak Duffy powered forward from an advancing scrum as Keys worked the ball out wide with quick hands for Fidler to score.

The lead was doubled moments later when the home pack rampaged forward with Damian Welch stretching over to touch down.

The sides exchanged another three points before Tudor Hughes capitalised on a Keys mistake and Andrew Claypole sprinted towards the line. A desperate tackle stopped him in his tracks, but the visitors recycled quick ball out to the other wing and Paul John exploited the overlap to score.

The home side reacted instantly and Leon Andrews found acres of space, before sending Jason Tovey over for a try in the corner.

Swansea grabbed a second try in fortuitous circumstances when a loose pass backwards by Dan Babos found Claypole loitering and he raced clear to score.

Keys were penalised when Lee Evans committed a professional foul and Luke Griffiths drew his side back to within two points at half time.

The visitors continued to enjoy the upper hand after the interval and Tovey had his kick charged down, before Andrews dropped a relatively pass to give Swansea an attacking scrum inside the Keys twenty-two. The forwards stayed patient and got their reward when John crashed over for his second try.

Keys mounted an attack with Owain Leonard held up just short of the line, before Andrews popped up to dart through a gap to score.

A superb chip through by Tovey almost saw Andrews claim his second try, but the Whites managed to get back to take the ball over their own line for a Keys attacking scrum five.

And then up stepped Luke Griffiths who intercepted a loose pass on his own line to race 80 metres to clinch a sensational last gasp victory.
