BEDWAS can claim a third consecutive Principality Premiership win tonight when Llanelli visit Bridge Field (kick-off 7.30pm) – but they will have to manage without back-row duo Nathan Hudd and Dale Rogers.

The two forwards are ruled out with neck and knee injuries respectively following last Saturday’s crucial 20-15 relegation battle victory over Cross Keys.

That third triumph in four outings made it back-to-back league successes for only the second time this season.

It also edged Bedwas further away from the Premiership danger zone, four points above this evening’s opponents.

Another win would ease the worries of Stefan Sankala’s hosts even further ahead of a two-week break from league action.

“We’ve beaten two of the sides around us in our last two games and Llanelli is ever so important given where they are in the table,” said Bedwas chief Sankala.

“It’s about building momentum and keeping it going, and that’s what we are doing right now.

“But Llanelli pushed Cardiff close last weekend and had a very strong squad, and I expect no different when they come to us.

“We’ve got a game plan and if we execute that then I’m confident the boys will come out on top.”

He added: “We’ve got a couple of injuries in the back row, so there will be changes there.

“Nathan Hudd is an instrumental player for us, but he has a neck injury that keeps him out.

“Dale Rogers has also been great for us this season, though he misses out with a knock to his knee.”

On the battle to avoid relegation, Sankala said: “Bridgend have got three games in hand on us, so we’ll need other teams to do us a favour at some point, but it’s good to have the points on the board.”
