LIVEWIRE wing Elliot Frewen will spend a 10th season at Rodney Parade after signing a new deal with Newport.

The 32-year-old speedster has re-signed for the 2020/21 campaign along with centre Harry Griffiths, scrum-half Luke Crane and lock/flanker Josh Skinner.

Frewen is a favourite with Black and Ambers supporters thanks to his elusive and committed running that has seen him cross for 71 tries in 184 appearances.

South Wales Argus:

He signed from Tonmawr in 2011 and has established himself as one of the Premiership's most potent attackers.

The winger, whose stellar performances on the sevens circuit finally earned Wales selection in 2017, will look to pass the 200 mark when rugby gets the green light to return.

Featuring alongside him for Ty Morris’ men will be 24-year-old Griffiths, who made eight appearances in midfield last season after joining from Cardiff University.

Crane made 13 outings, 10 of them starts, in his first campaign at Rodney Parade after joining from Bedwas.

Abrasive forward Skinner played for Newport while with the Dragons academy and returned from Cross Keys in 2018.

The 25-year-old has made 35 appearances for the club and will provide head coach Morris with versatility and edge.
