HIBERNIAN boss Jack Ross has lauded the efforts of matchwinner Christian Doidge, saying the “unselfish” Gwent striker doesn’t know how good he is.
The 27-year-old from Cwmbran scored the only goal of the game in Hibs’ Scottish Premiership win at Dundee United.
Doidge made the move to Scotland last summer and his midweek strike, when he pounced on a loose ball at Tannadice, was his 20th for the club.
Ross said: "He's a massive asset for me. He's a brilliant boy, really, really humble and down to earth and if anything probably sometimes doesn't appreciate how good he is and what he's done in terms of the goals he has scored.
“We are trying to grow that in him. He is so unselfish in his work and he has scored goals consistently since I came in November. He has made a massive contribution."
Wales boss Ryan Giggs has previously said that Doidge, who has played for Cwmbran Celtic and Croesyceiliog, is on his radar.
