WALES international Joe Ledley is training with Newport County, but no deal has been struck to sign the former Cardiff City midfielder.

Ledley, who turns 33 next Thursday, is a free agent after leaving Championship club Charlton Athletic following just one appearance last month.

He has recently spoken about wanting to find a club closer to his Cardiff home, and with selection for Euro 2020 also in mind.

The 77-cap playmaker did not rule out a move to County and Exiles boss Michael Flynn said earlier this month he would talk to the 32-year-old about a possible link-up.

It has been reported that no talks have taken place yet, but Ledley has been training with County at their Newport Stadium base.

Former Swansea City and Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony is also training with the Exiles.
